I don’t often share my physical challenges with you, but today, Friends, I have suffered. I own three barrettes and I cannot find any of them and my hair has been slip-sliding into my eyes all day.
Why is it the littlest stuff that trips us up?
I could buy more barrettes and perhaps someday I will. Though I have learned this tricky lesson in my life - the more one owns of a small item, the more likely it is one will not keep track of that thing and it will become utterly lost.
Anyway…
Yesterday was Easter. Meg usually helps Rev. David do the Sunday service but this week she was having family in town. He asked if I would write a short part-of-sermon and so I worked on that last week.
If you would like to read what both Dave and I wrote, this is a written version of our service. Click here.
Did you have a good Easter? Where are Easter and Spring and Renewal and Happy Moments happening for you?
If you send me some photos of what you are seeing and enjoying and feeling grateful for – I will put together some posts of our photos. With quotes.
If you need my email address, in the comment section tell me YOUR email address so I can send mine back to you. I will not publish your info, no one will see it but me.

We have not had in-person services in our Unitarian Universalist congregation since March 2020 and we probably won’t until September. Many of us are vaccinated but many are not and none of our kids are yet. Right now, scientists and medical experts are begging people to be cautious so our congregation is able and willing to be patient on behalf of all of us.
Nevertheless, our sanctuary is not empty.
I didn’t know this until yesterday, but last year Rev David went to the church nursery, got all the dolls and animals, brought them to our sanctuary to sit in our chairs. Then Susan, who with some others maintains the building - Susan put masks on the nursery guys.
These are my Easter photos for you.
